The NY Lawyers Online team contains a diverse array of educational and industry backgrounds, offering you a wide range of skills, creativity and knowledge. Our people have years of experience in graphic arts, web design, programming, branding, marketing and information technology. These are our primary team members, but we also engage sub-contractors and specialized partners.
Paul Backalenick
President
NY Lawyers Online was founded by Paul Backalenick, a long-time strategic IT planning consultant who worked for such national technical consulting firms as Accenture, Ernst and Young, and Kurt Salmon Associates. Paul graduated from Brown University and received an MBA from Boston College, where he concentrated in Marketing and Information Technology.
Karen Loew
Creative Director
Karen is a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She has worked as a Creative Director and Graphic Artist at several advertising agencies before joining NY Lawyers Online. In her spare time, Karen is a successful fine artist who volunteers her time to work for the Coast Guard Art Program (COGAP).
Hope DeRossett
Senior Developer
A smart, self-taught web developer, Hope has a background in design. Hope has worked for various companies as a developer and has a passion for helping every small business create a strong web pressence.
Jan Gonzalez
Developer
Jan is a Junior Front-End Developer who majored in multimedia progamming. Since 2015, he has greatly expanded his programming and development expertise with us. He is responsible for selected new development projects and maintenance for many of our client's existing websites.
Carol Greenwald
Copywriting / Marketing
A graduate of Smith College, with a Ph.D. from the City University of New York, Carol is a sought-after speaker and an expert at crafting internet-optimal content for many NY Lawyers Online clients. She is an outstanding editor who knows how to create effective writing for the Internet.
Harmony Keeney
Online Marketing Specialist/Developer
Harmony focuses on online marketing, including SEO, social media and Google Adwords campaigns, She helps clients hone their online presence and works closely with Paul on projects involving brand identity and developing design strategies for brand awareness.
